What is a Hero?

Is a firefighter who climbs into a burning building to save an elderly woman a hero?  How about a pedestrian who scoops a child up and away from an approaching car?  Does a rescue worker at an accident site qualify?

Of course.

Today, however, we wish to suggest another kind of hero for your consideration:

Someone who, after many years of preparation, devotes their life to helping people.  Someone who continues their efforts to improve the lives of others. Someone who gives of themselves and works to guide families and strengthen communities. Someone that believes in those people who struggle to believe in themselves. 

We hope you make the rewarding decision to become that someone …  the “someone” we like to refer to as an everyday hero.
