Looking for Volunteers to work at Bloodmobile locations
All Red Cross Volunteers must have a background check. Richland County has approximately 40 bloodmoibiles each month, and many Bloodmobiles need one to three volunteers. Needs include: Canteen persons: Assists donors with a snack after donation. Visits with donor and encourages them to sign appointment book. Observes for any reactions. Registration persons: Greet and register donors as they come into the bloodmobile. Please stop by the Red Cross Office 39 N. MedCentral Hospice
MedCentral Hospice is looking for vounteers to serve terminally ill patients and their caregivers.
Volunteer training classes will held May 4, 5, and 6 from 10:00 am to 2:30 each day. Lunch
will be provided. The classes will be held at the MedCentral Hospice office, 1020 Cricket Lane
off South Trimble Rd. in Mansfield.
After the three day training program and a successful background check, volunteers can assist
hospice patients in their homes. Volunteers typically help in a variety of ways such as offering
transportation, writing letters and relieving the caregiver for short periods of time. Most
importantly, a volunteer can be a friendly visitor. MedCentral also is looking for office clerical
volunteers and people to help with fundraising events throughout the year.
