Welcome to the United Way of Richland County!  Thanks for stopping in.  Saving and changing lives right here in our community, that is what the United Way of Richland County and our 28 partner agencies are dedicated to doing through their critical programs that we fund. Your support helps address emergency services, family services, health services, and youth development right here in Richland County.   

We just completed the 2007 campaign and through the generosity of thousands of caring community partners of all ages, we raised $1,910,000 !!

Making the decision to support the campaign is an investment in Richland County.  Already the allocation process has started and approximately 50 community volunteers are hard at work interviewing our 28 partner agencies about their specific programs for which they are seeking funding this year.  Our volunteers are members of four PACs (Program Allocation Committees) - one for each of our impact areas of Health Services, Youth Services, Emergency Services, and Family Support. 

The PAC members visit each agency prior to the agency's presentation to the PAC to confirm that the programs for which funding is requested are up and running and producing measurable outcomes.  The volunteer allocation committees take their responsibilities seriously, safe-guarding the investment of your hard earned dollars.
